It is sad. The old lady next door went away to the hospital yesterday. No licking yogurt cups for me today. I know, I really wasn't supposed to be over there. Miss Erin was afraid I would get in the house and never get out. But I do love yogurt and she would leave the half-empty cup on the porch as she would wander the neighborhood. What's a cat to do? You know we are pure opportunists.
Well, today she did not come home. Her soul went on and I'm sure she is at peace now. The Humans seem very upset by it all, especially Miss Erin. She hasn't been sleeping well. I tried to help a bit by curling up at the foot of her bed. and Hey, I'm not a house cat--that's a sacrifice for me. Don't know if it helped or not.
So, to try and think on a more upbeat path, I want to share with you something my deliciously young new niece and nephew did. They wrote a book. Wait, I want to write a book too. Okay, another day. This is about MaryBlake and Mac now. They wrote this book http://tinyurl.com/3ol4wy/ all about camping and want to share it with the world. The money from sales will go to feed me. Okay, you caught me. That's not true. The money will go to their college fund. Maybe they will throw me a doughnut for effort when Miss Erin Isn't looking. These young authors need a break so at least go check out the site. Meow.
